On the road to Ammonia

About This Webinar

It is clear that alternative fuels will play an essential role in the decarbonization of the shipping industry in coming decades. As an intrinsically zero-carbon fuel, ammonia has sparked interest as a leading contender in the future fuel mix.
Already widely transported by sea for trade, ammonia thus benefits from existing infrastructure and robust handling procedures around the world. However, a deep dive into ammonia’s potential as a marine fuel serves to highlight challenges that need to be overcome.
This webinar will help you better understand the challenges and enablers that will impact the future uptake of ammonia-as-fuel. We will shed light on ammonia’s potential, including the development of combustion engines, production pathways and safety and regulatory considerations.

Agenda
  • Overview of safety concerns & regulatory landscape - Bureau Veritas
  • Shades of ammonia: a deep dive on production pathways - Hy2Gen
  • The latest in ammonia combustion engines development - MAN Energy Solutions
