Bio
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering and in Naval Architecture, Benoit Grovel began his professional career in 1998 as Project Engineer at Bureau Veritas. He then joined Total in 2001 as Technical Superintendent, then up until 2010, Benoit was site manager for LNG Carriers new buildings.
Between 2012 and 2017, he worked on the Ichthys project as Engineering Manager for the floating production unit. He followed up its construction and then was in charge of the Transportation and Installation of the project, before heading back to the LNG Shipping Department at Total.
From July 2021 he is Gas Expertise Team Director in the New Construction Department in BV Head Office, organizing technical support, training, and coordination for gas carriers, and gas Fuel vessels.
